The system software, the same for each model of X-spat serie, is called X-Spat Controller II. Available only in Mac OS X Universal version, it has always been a freeware since issue 1.0 and this new "incarnation" identified by the II (in roman numbers, just like to Say 2.0), doesn't makes any difference; even if the quantity of new features and the high ergonomic level of its GUI put the software at the same level of others softwares sold in the pro audio market at several hundreds of Euro and protected with hardware keys.
